Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn and learn about 3D printing. During this interactive presentation, you will learn how 3D printers work, see 3D printed objects, and discuss how you can access and use the 3D printers in our Makerspace!

Participants will have the opportunity to try out various stitches on our sewing machines and learn how they can access the Makerspace sewing machines outside of the program. Wild Kratt Wednesday is the place to be! Pack a lunch and head to the library to watch a Wild Kratts episode. Take home a theme based information/activity package to further the experience. You must register each child participating. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat.

Calling all adult aspiring Writers and Wordsmiths! 

Are you a new writer in search of support and encouragement? Have you already started down the writing path but repeatedly experience creative drought? Or perhaps you’d like to develop solid writing skills or find the perfect inspiration before taking another step on your writing journey. 

Join us for our Writers’ Group devoted to those who are relatively new to the craft of writing and would like to develop their skills, or to those who have just dabbled in writing but would like to take a deeper dive. 

We’ll explore various topics, including how to find your creative flow, build effective writing habits, and create momentum in your writing. Whether it’s working with writing prompts, learning tips and tricks from the masters, or sharing your writing in a supportive and enthusiastic environment, let’s honor that talent and discover where creativity (and practice) can lead us!

Join us once a month for a Matinee Movie showing. Enjoy a feature film and popcorn. Registration is required to reserve your seat and ensure we have enough popcorn. 

Enjoy working with your friends on different STEAM-based DIY activities. This after-school program is a self-paced, learn-as-you-go activity. We will have a light snack for you.

Needle felting is the process of transforming wool into 3D objects using a barbed needle. Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn to learn how to create a needle felted project.

Please join Theresa Lalak, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, in a safe and supportive environment that is designed to help those caring for a loved one with dementia. 

Participants will receive practical advice, learn how to develop methods and skills to solve problems, have an opportunity to develop social relationships, receive support from others, learn about resources and more.
