All levels of experience are welcome to this monthly photography club. Share your photos with friends, participate in monthly photography challenges, and learn different techniques from various speakers. This monthly meeting is organized and presented by the Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Association.
February's Speaker is David Tauch.
David Tauch will be our speaker for the February 12th meeting at the Peters Township Library. Dave has enjoyed taking photos for over 50 years in one form or another. By no means does this mean he is a pro, as he is still learning every day. His first camera was with a Kodak “Brownie Hawkeye”. Then, he moved to 35mm film cameras. Today he uses various digital DSLR and mirrorless cameras. His go to travel camera is a Canon T6s with a Sigma 18-300mm lens. For the “Canadian Rockies” trip slide show, which we took in 2011, I used a Canon T3i with a Tamron 28-300mm lens. The slide presentation was created on “Pro ShowGold” software. This software, although no longer available, allows for the use of “Ken Burns” panning effects as well as the introduction of background music.
