NEW Intermediate Chess Lesson Series in 2026!
Join Mr. G for this limited space 6 session program running January - June. Registration is required for the first session only, which will automatically register you for all sessions. Each session will build upon the last. Students are encouraged to attend each consecutive class of the six session course.

This program is for 3rd through 6th graders who already know the basics of chess (how the pieces move; how to castle; pawn promotions etc.), or who have completed the "Chess for Beginners" course. This course will teach you about the correct development of the pieces, doubled and passed pawns, approximate value of the pieces, and how to play "tactical" as well as "positional" chess. It will also teach you about the three main parts of a chess game; "opening:, the "middle game", and the "end game". There will be an identical series beginning in July.
