Event Details
This course is for 1st through 6th graders who already know the basics of chess (how the pieces move, castling, etc.), or who have completed the “Chess for Beginners” course. This course will teach you about the correct development of the pieces, doubled and passed pawns, approximate value of each of the pieces, and how to play “tactical” as well as “positional” chess.
Classes meet every third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 7:30pm in the Activity room of the Peter’s Township Public Library and will be supervised by an experienced chess instructor.
