Learn the fundamentals of yoga poses, breath, and meditation in this cumulative four class series taught by Kate Olson. This session is for new beginners, or anyone wanting to revisit the foundations of their practice. Everyone is welcome!

Please bring a yoga mat, one strap, two yoga blocks and a blanket or beach towel. Series registration is required for this free class. Sessions will be held November 12, 19, 26, and Dec 3.

Kate Olson has been teaching yoga for over 15 years. She is known for her fun and intelligent sequencing, creative metaphors, and an ability to make EVERYONE feel welcome. When she first began to practice yoga in the 1990’s, Kate was often the only “flexibility challenged” student in studios full of dancers and naturally flexible people. Her journey to honor and practice within her own body and over 20 years of study and experience informs Kate’s teaching. Kate is an E-RYT 500. She is also a certified Relax and Renew© Trainer, studying under Judith Hanson Lasater. Her teaching is influenced by the many teachers she has studied with over the years including Chrissy Carter, Christy Mackenzie, Richard Freeman, Rodney Yee, Doug Keller, and Leslie Kaminoff. Kate lives in Peters with her husband, two kids, and sassy yellow labrador, Juno.
