Program Description

Event Details

For 1st through 6th graders who have never played or who would like to learn “how the chess pieces move; how to set up the board; how to castle; and how to promote pawns”, this course will teach you this and more.

Classes meet every second Monday of the month from 6:30 – 7:30pm in the Activity room of the Peter’s Township Public Library and will be supervised by an experienced chess instructor. There will be two identical courses: one starting in January and one starting in July. Students are encouraged to attend all six classes of either course before signing up for the Intermediate course.
