This book club will meet and discuss some of the newest and/or popular/current reads. Participants will be responsible for procuring their own books. However, the library will do its best to provide books and/or sources to participants. Selections will be books everyone is talking about, popular authors, best sellers and upcoming releases.

Are you a new writer in search of support and encouragement? Have you already started down the writing path but repeatedly experience creative drought? Or perhaps you’d like to develop solid writing skills or find the perfect inspiration before taking another step on your writing journey. 

Join us for our Writers’ Group devoted to those who are relatively new to the craft of writing and would like to develop their skills, or to those who have just dabbled in writing but would like to take a deeper dive. 

We’ll explore various topics, including how to find your creative flow, build effective writing habits, and create momentum in your writing. Whether it’s working with writing prompts, learning tips and tricks from the masters, or sharing your writing in a supportive and enthusiastic environment, let’s honor that talent and discover where creativity (and practice) can lead us!

The Cookbook Club meets bimonthly on the third Monday, featuring dinners and recipe challenges. Registration is required in person at the Circulation Desk and opens one month before the meeting date. Library staff will select cookbooks for recipe selection. Visit the New Book area by the window to view cookbooks from our collection and sign-up for your recipe so we can enjoy a variety of dishes together!

Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn and learn how to use the Cricut Maker 4! The Cricut Maker 4 is a smart cutting machine that can cut over 300 different materials. During this class, you will learn the capabilities of the Cricut machine, navigate through the Design Space software, and complete a simple cut paper shape on the Cricut. You will also learn how you can access the Makerspace's Cricut machines to use independently.

3D Pen Art

Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn to create 3D designs using the Makerspace's 3D Pens. A 3D pen extrudes heated plastic from the pen's nozzle that cools almost instantly into a solid, stable structure, allowing for the free-hand creation of three-dimensional objects. There will be a variety of templates to use, or you can design your own project. You will also learn how to access Makerspace's 3D pens to use independently.

All materials will be provided.

During this 45-minute session, you will learn the ins and outs of the embroidery machine and complete a small embroidery project to take home with you.
