For ages birth to 15 months
In this 20 minute lapsit program, babies will begin to gain contact with language through stories, songs, rhymes, and finger plays. Clap and sing along to tunes while working on fine and gross motor skills and direction, following Ms. Patty's help. Registration is required for each session for each child participating. We are accepting 15 children for this program.

For ages 1 to 2 ½ years
Join Ms. Patty for 20 minutes of books, fun rhymes, songs, and fingerplays to encourage language growth, development and love of reading.

Second Tuesday of the Month, 1pm-3pm
Share resources, information, and methods for exploring your family’s history. All are welcome.

Bring your team or play alone and test your knowledge. There will be a new trivia topic every month. Trivia will be done using Kahoot! 

Please bring your own device (chrome book, tablet, phone). We will have only a handful of devices available.

Wild Kratts Wednesday is the place to be! Pack a lunch and head to the library to watch a Wild Kratts episode. Take home a theme based information/activity package to further the experience. 

Register for each child participating. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat.

Join us on the second Wednesday of the month for Evening Book Club - all are welcome! Zoom is available for those who prefer to meet virtually. 

All levels of experience are welcome to this monthly photography club. Share your photos with friends, participate in monthly photography challenges, and learn different techniques from various speakers. This monthly meeting is organized and presented by the Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Association. 

For ages 3 to 5
Music makes everything better! Join Ms. Linda for casual music time. We will work with rhythm instruments, learn songs, and march with the instruments in a parade. 

Registration is required for each session for each child participating. 

For ages 3 1/2 to 5
Join Ms. Linda and explore different stories with a theme-related activity and craft. Registration is required for each session for each child participating. 

Join the library archivist on the second Thursday of each month to learn and share about the Peters Township of the past. Following a presentatation by the archivist, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of one another and to share reminiscences. Past topics include Donaldson's Crossroads, township schools, the township police department and the Village of Hackett.

Help your little one prepare for kindergarten at the library! 

This weekly program consists of stories, rhymes, and songs to help promote early literacy and reinforce basic reading, math, and social skills in preparation for school. Caregiver participation is required as we will be learning skills and activities that can be practiced at home.

This program is designed for  4 to 5 year-olds.

Join us for crafts, stories, and a special viewing of a beloved PBS Kids show! 

Registration is required for Children only. Accompanying adults do not need to register.

These programs are being done in partnership with WQED as part of our Inquire Within Grant, funded by Clearview Federal Union.

For ages 2 to 3 1/2
Join Ms. Shannon for a 30 minute program that adds crafts and fun stories for further encouragement on the way to becoming lifelong readers.

Registration is required for each session for each child participating. 

For ages 3 to 5
Get movin' and groovin' with Ms.  Shannon in this program perfect for your little wigglers. Registration is required for each session for each child participating. This is a movement class. Please wear sneakers!

Join us once a month for a Matinee Movie showing. Enjoy a feature film and popcorn. Registration is required to reserve your seat and ensure we have enough popcorn. 

For Grades 4 to 6
Join Ms. Linda for this after-school program! Enjoy book conversation, activity and a snack. First 5 registrants receive a complimentary copy of the book.

Please join Lynne Ireland-Knight, a certified Death Doula, in a supportive environment to process and share our grief experiences. 

Registration is not required for this group.

The Cookbook Club meets bimonthly on the third Monday, featuring dinners and recipe challenges. Registration is required in person at the Circulation Desk and opens one month before the meeting date. Library staff will select cookbooks for recipe selection. Visit the New Book area by the window to view cookbooks from our collection and sign-up for your recipe so we can enjoy a variety of dishes together!

Join Technology and Makerspace Librarian Sarah Quinn and learn how to use the Cricut Maker 4! The Cricut Maker 4 is a smart cutting machine that can cut over 300 different materials. During this class, you will learn the capabilities of the Cricut machine, navigate through the Design Space software, and complete a simple cut paper shape on the Cricut. You will also learn how you can access the Makerspace's Cricut machines to use independently. 

This program is intended for beginners. All materials will be provided.
