Event Details
Come and enjoy a night of viewing the stars, planets, galaxies and nebula. Our night will begin with a presentation from our own local Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh. Listen to what can be seen in our own galaxy, the “Milky Way”, plus galaxies that are millions of miles away and learn about constellations that can be seen from Pittsburgh.
After the presentation, all guests will be invited to go outside and look through the telescopes of volunteers. Explanations of what is being viewed will be given along with answering any questions that are asked. Did you get a telescope for the holidays and don't know how to set it up? Our volunteers will be happy to answer equipment and set up questions.
This is an after-hours events that takes place in and outside of the library. Participants ages 15 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
This program was rescheduled from April 27.
