Event Details
Come and enjoy an afternoon of viewing our closest star, the sun!
The event will begin with a presentation from our own local Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh. Listen to what you can expect to see during a solar eclipse, how to safely view the eclipse, and why they are so special.
After the presentation, all guests will be invited to go outside and look through the telescopes of volunteers. Each scope will be set up to view the sun safely. Explanations of what is being viewed will be given, along with answering any questions that are asked. Own a telescope and don't know how to set it up? Our volunteers will be happy to answer equipment and set up questions.
