Join us for a Learn & Lunch for adults! Lunch will be served following a presentation by Master Naturalist and Environmental Educator Char Ross.
Become a wildlife detective and identity mystery skulls! Learn about physical characteristics that help you determine whether an animal lived as predator, prey, or both... and that's just the beginning!
This is a unique opportunity to see and feel real skulls, pelts, and taxidermy while gaining valuable interpretive skills. A great intro for any budding naturalist or nature lover, participants can utilize what they learn the next time they are on a walk in the woods.
Char Ross is a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist and environmental educator at Frick Park. With a lifelong interest in Mammal studies and a passion for connecting audiences to local wildlife, she utilizes unexpectedly tools: sustainably sourced taxidermy and nature-found biofacts (bones, fur, tracks, and other tangible evidence of animal existence). Char's programs feature a unique collection of species "ambassadors" to meet up close, like an engaging behind the scenes museum visit! Each class theme is curated with the goal of sparking both curiosity and greater appreciation for our wild neighbors.
